The only thing required to change

(Reposted from October 29, 2013)

Dear ...

Here it is my first published writing.
While working on my book one of my ghost readers advised me to start blogging. She said it's a good way to test your audience and it helps gathering a readers group or as I joked scare them off right off the bat, way before my book is published.  The subject of my book is finding your life's purpose... OMG you think... another self help book? Well, yes and trust me that question runs through my mind almost daily. And let me tell you why. I do most of my writing in a large bookstore, not only for the Chai-Tea-Latte they sell, but primarily because I'm surrounded with books. It makes me humble and wonder, if I really write something worthwhile to read. Well, I'm still working on my book, so at least I think I have something to add to all the self-help and inspirational books that have been published so far. True or not the future will tell us. But the future can only tell us based upon actions we took today.

I quote here a small paragraph of the first chapter of my book:

"We all have to overcome ordeals and pains and learn how to live with them. They shape us to what we are today as they have shaped me. If they block you from what you want to be then that is something you can choose to change and if you use them as an excuse to not change then that is perhaps a choice too. But if you want to change, realize then that you have to accept first what you are today before you can become who you want to be tomorrow."

Let me know what you think.

Best wishes,

My name is Jean Dorff: I am a dad, a partner, a friend, a dancer, a dance instructor, a performance coach a motivational speaker and a writer.
